Commission Regulation (EC) 1950/2006 – Substances Essential for the treatment of Horses

European Regulation (EC) No 1950/2006 establishing a list of substances considered essential for the treatment of equidae was published by the European Commission on 22 December 2006 and came into force on 25 December. It directly applies throughout the EU and therefore in the United Kingdom. The text of the Regulation is available below:

It is important that the use of these substances complies with the Veterinary Medicines Regulations and the Horse Passport legislation.  The VMD will prepare a guidance note on the use of horse medicines in conjunction with BEVA.
